It’s called PEMF. It’s a Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field, and it’s cool This tech is a REALLY big deal right now (for good reason). NASA is well known to be an extremely interested party and researcher on the impact of PEMF.
These PEMF devices and pads are lifechangers in some cases. Some people are reporting amazing success with this technology, for a pretty wide range of ailments. Regenerating tissue is not something mentioned on the tin, but word on the street is these are spectacular for rebuilding tissue, although of course I can’t say that is the case for sure. I’m going to try this myself soon. I want to get the fully body pad! but it’s out of my price range right now. Someday I’ll get one! Scroll below for links to some AFFORDABLE amazon deals on PEMF devices, and follow along with my ongoing research.
Ok THIS stuff is cool AF. I am not a doctor, I am not making any claims for this gear, but this is something really amazing I think. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m to going to try it soon and I can report back more here. I finally picked my winner! Out of all these, I have decided which one is my favorite one by far, and it’s only about 1000. Read on to find out. Or just scroll to the bottom.
There’s the Full Body PEMF therapy system pad, The PEMF Battery Powered portable local applicator pad and I also found a handle held 100 dollar version. But, pros can cons with each for sure. Some generate just one frequency. 7.83, or 8, or 10hz, usually one of those 3.
Others VARY the frequency from 0 to 30hz, or from 0 to 100hz. Some are SQUARE waves, and I think everyone agrees that’s the one you want. Some SCATTER the frequencies, so there is no wave form.
Wikipedia described it thusly: “Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMFT), also known as low field magnetic stimulation (LFMS), and tumor treating fields (TTF) uses electromagnetic fields in an attempt to heal non-union fractures, glioblastomas (brain tumors) [1] and depression.[2] By 2007 the FDA had cleared several such stimulation devices.”

and THIS handheld one is only 80 bucks! However, it does 10 hz, which isn’t 8 hz, or 7.83 hz as some prefer. I guess you get what you pay for, but who knows, this one could help a lot of people on a budget with targeting specific spots and reducing pain at least. Again I haven’t tried any of these yet, and I’m not making any promises, but there is certainly quite a buzz about ALL this PEMF tech, especially since the FDA approved it’s use quite recently.
But THIS next one BELOW is pretty cool, and it’s wearable tech. It’s A WEARABLE PEMF DEVICE !! How cool is THAT? I like this next one because it VARIES the frequency, while many of these devices just pound you with ONE frequency, this next device modulates or cycles through the frequencies .5 to 100 hz. However, you can’t select one frequency, that’s one drawback.
They say “eroPulse is designed to have different frequencies within the 30 minute cycle to promote constant and wide range of healing. Having the same frequency makes the body accustomed to the energy, which will halt the healing.”
In conclusion, for now…
Big pads, medium sized pads, small pads, and 2 hand held devices. Some of them sustain 7.8 hz, some are 8 hz, some are 10 hz…and that’s it. One tone.
Others, like the eruPulse module the frequency from .5 hz to 100 hz. Apparently the range between .5 and 100 hz is healing, but there is very little discussion about Gauss. Most of the cheaper units are very low Gauss.
If you really want a pro unit that’s not a million bucks, with some serious GAUSS (ie: OOMPH), the BEMER is a high end favorite of many. The Quanten Resonance System 101 Homesystem looks very intense as well. Hmm, can’t find these on amazon right now…hmmm
The VERY expensive units, have 10,000 or even 30,000 gauss! but those are out of reach for most people to buy for the home. The PEMF8000 Pro sells for over 10,000 dollars! Those high powered units are used by clinics and treatment centers so you could also find a place that has one of the big fellas, and jump on that for much less than 10k, maybe for super cheap each time.
Apparently these PEMF devices are also used for horses. I’ll look into that some more soon as I can.
and FINALLY, my top pick?
My #1 recommendation?
I’d get the OMI. I like the features. Get this one.
Why? It’s a square wave, that’s what NASA uses. That’s what you want.
Also: “Three different program are available: P1 (the frequency gradually increases from 3 Hz to 38 Hz and then drops back). P2 (the frequency continually and randomly changes between 1–99 Hz). P3 (the frequency is manually adjustable between 1 and 99 Hz).”
None of the other models I have seen have these 3 functions. Most of them aren’t even close.
Omi is the one to get. I can’t wait to get mine…
